Terms of Use

1. Reservations and Booking Confirmation

All reservations are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from our reservations team at reservations@rrretreats.com.

Booking enquiries submitted through our website constitute an expression of interest only and do not guarantee availability or pricing. A reservation is only binding once confirmed in writing by RR Retreats and any required deposit has been received.

You are responsible for ensuring that all guest details provided at the time of booking — including names, nationality, arrival dates, and special requests — are accurate. RR Retreats accepts no liability for issues arising from incorrect information provided by the guest.

2. Payment Terms

Room rates are quoted in US Dollars (USD) per room per night and are inclusive of daily breakfast for two guests unless otherwise stated. Airport transfer charges of $15 per person apply separately.

A deposit may be required to secure your reservation, as specified in your booking confirmation. The balance of your stay is payable on arrival or as otherwise agreed with our reservations team.

Payments are accepted by bank transfer or such other methods as communicated by our reservations team. All payments must be received in full before or upon check-in. RR Retreats reserves the right to cancel an unconfirmed reservation if payment is not received by the agreed deadline.

Prices are subject to change without notice until a reservation is confirmed in writing. Confirmed reservations are protected against rate changes for the booked period.

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be communicated in writing to reservations@rrretreats.com. The following cancellation terms apply unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation:

Cancellations made 14 or more days before the scheduled arrival date: full refund of any deposit paid, less any applicable bank transfer fees.

Cancellations made 7 to 13 days before the scheduled arrival date: 50% of the total booking value will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the scheduled arrival date, or no-shows: 100% of the total booking value will be charged.

RR Retreats strongly recommends that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, and travel disruption prior to travel.

4. Reservation Modifications

Requests to modify a confirmed reservation — including changes to dates, room type, or guest numbers — must be submitted in writing to reservations@rrretreats.com and are subject to availability.

Date changes requested 14 or more days before arrival will be accommodated where possible at no additional charge, subject to availability. Changes requested within 14 days of arrival may be treated as a cancellation and re-booking, and the cancellation policy above will apply to the original reservation.

RR Retreats reserves the right to modify or cancel a confirmed reservation in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to force majeure events, natural disasters, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or alternative dates at our earliest opportunity.

5. Check-In and Check-Out

Standard check-in time is 14:00 (2:00 PM) local Maldives time. Standard check-out time is 12:00 (12:00 PM) local Maldives time. Early check-in and late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability and additional charges.

Guests are required to present valid photo identification at check-in. RR Retreats reserves the right to refuse check-in to any guest who cannot provide satisfactory identification.

6. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner towards other guests, staff, and the local community at all times. RR Retreats operates within the Republic of Maldives, and guests are required to comply with all applicable Maldivian laws and regulations during their stay.

The Maldives is a Muslim-majority country. Guests are asked to dress modestly in public areas and on local islands, and to respect local customs and traditions. Alcohol consumption is permitted within the hotel premises only.

Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms or indoor public areas. Designated smoking areas are available on request.

RR Retreats reserves the right to terminate the stay of any guest whose conduct is deemed disruptive, offensive, or in violation of these Terms or applicable law, without refund.

7. Damage and Loss

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hotel property, furnishings, or equipment during their stay. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest.

RR Retreats accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings during your stay. Guests are advised to use in-room safes where available and to obtain appropriate travel insurance.

8. Liability Disclaimer

RR Retreats takes all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RR Retreats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your stay or use of our services.

RR Retreats is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage arising from activities undertaken off hotel premises, including excursions, water sports, or visits to local islands, whether arranged through the hotel or independently.

Our total liability to you in connection with any reservation shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that reservation.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Website Use

The content on rrretreats.com — including text, images, logos, and descriptions — is the property of RR Retreats and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of information on our website, including room descriptions, pricing, and availability. However, we do not warrant that all information is complete, accurate, or current at all times. Confirmed booking details take precedence over website content.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. RR Retreats is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party website.

10. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, including booking information, cookies, and your rights under GDPR.

By making a reservation, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, available at rrretreats.com/privacy.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Maldives.

In the event of a dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or your reservation, we encourage you to contact us first at reservations@rrretreats.com so that we may attempt to resolve the matter amicably.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct negotiation, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Maldives, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.

12. Changes to These Terms

RR Retreats reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. The date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
